This video is of an ABC News 20/20 investigation into counterfeit drugs, which appeared on May 15, 2015. While this isn’t specifically about anabolic steroids, it addresses the more general and shared issue of counterfeit pharmaceuticals. Anabolic steroids are among the most lucrative drugs to counterfeit, and we know the black market has a very long history of trading in these types of products. Notice that many of the counterfeits drugs in this video are extremely detailed and legitimate in appearance. The investigators even recovered Viagra tablet press dyes that include the Pfizer logo. The analysis lab reportedly found some of these products to be made with drywall as filler. For those unfamiliar with just how big the scope of the counterfeit problem can be, this video is worth a look.
